History of scooters and kick start scooters
Like so many other inventions, the scooter was a child of necessity. The need for a low-cost alternative to the automobile in the war-ravaged world – scooter was designed as transport for the masses and it caught on so quickly that it became one of the great transport phenomena to sweep the world in the 20th century. Children´s imagination and their urge for amusement gave rise to the first homemade prototypes of scooters. The first scooter-like vehicle was invented in the late 1800s and it was in the early 1900s when the Moto-ped or Moped entered production and is believed to be the first motor scooter!
Germany produced the first motorcycle that was available for purchase. Those scooters had a step-through frame and it became the first mass-produced and publicly sold powered two-wheel vehicle and among the first powered mainly by its engine rather than foot pedals. Only a few hundred such bikes were built, and the high price and technical difficulties made the venture a financial failure for its inventors.
Wim Ouboter, the Swiss inventor and former banker, is considered to be the initiator of Scooter renascence; at the end of the 1990s, he presented his design of a little aluminium scooter. His “invention” was allegedly inspired by his sister (who had problems riding a bike due to her shorter leg) as well as life in the city where the distances were often too long for walking and too short for driving the car.
Kick scooters have been handmade in industrial urban areas in Europe and the United States since the 1920s or earlier, often as play items made for children to roam the streets. The proper Kick-start scooters came into the picture in the 1970s, when the Honda Company made the Kick ‘n Go, a scooter driven by a pedal on a lever. While it seemed to be as much effort to “kick” as a regular scooter, the novelty of it caught on and it became popular, nevertheless.

Safety of the scooters
Electric scooters are considered safer than normal, manual scooters. Compared to rollerblades or skates, they are more controlled and the speed is generally slower as well and hence a lot safer. Since you are most likely to have both your feet on the deck, the ride is more stable. You can have all the concentration on the roads and things around you, as the scooter is automatic. Riding an electric scooter is at par with riding a bike. So, all in all, electric scooters are safe (if you are following the right procedures).
Ease of use
Your Electric Scooter is fun and easy to use; familiarize yourself with the scooter before you ride. Read the manual, check the controls, practise in parks, etc. till you feel fully confident and you are ready to commute in a more economical, greener and fun way! Practice riding in as straight a line as possible at differing speeds before attempting an intentional turn. As long as your balance is properly trained and honed to ride safely, you can be out on the road cruising in style and safely. Learning how to drive a scooter isn’t that complicated but it does take some practice. It’s mostly a balance thing but there are several other important elements to be aware of.

Electric Scooters do not pollute. Yes! You read that right; there are no CO2 or other polluting emissions. This means that the longer electric scooters are used, the more ecological advantage they have. Passenger transport is one of the leading contributors to climate change.
